Her empire style waist scooped neck and pointed sleeves were edged with lace and seed pearls, the flaired skirt ended in a long train. A lace edged cathedral veil was held by a head piece of white stephanotus and baby's breath and she carried a white Bible given to her by her late maternal grandfather covered with a spray of orchids, stephanotis, and baby's breath accented with dacea and spiderplant leaves. Yvonne Schoemaker was her maid of honor, Deanna West and Janice West, her bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in sky blue polyester knit de knit formal gowns, over which they wore royal blue velvet dolman sleeved jackets. They carried a cascade of yellow roses, blue and white freesia's, daisy, mums and baby's breath in their hair. A reception and dance was held at the Orono Community Centre where the bride's mother, dressed in a formal yellow polyester gown with matching yellow lace coat, received the guests; her corsage was of a deeper shade of yellow roses, stephanotis and baby's breath. The groom's mother assisted, in an off-white formal gown with a harmonica pleated skirt and matching lace jacket enhanc- ed in gold threads. The Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education annunced last week that Dr. Bette Stephenson will be guest speaker at opening cere- monies to be held at the Waverley Public School December 5.
