And the winner was Mollie O'Toole, of Bowmanville. She is shown here receiving the furniture from Harold Kirtley, ticket chairman of the Golden Legionnaire's men' s singing group. Proceeds will be used to further the development of men's singîng in the community. The Golden Legionnaires, incidentally, are interested in anyone with musical talent who would like to join their group. The draw for the winning ticket was made by Mrs. Gladstone Graham, of Liberty St. North. The five-piece set of doil furniture was made by Harvey ("Slip") Rowe. Councillor Bill Clarke told the public works committee at its regular meeting in Hampton last week that one of the problems with parking in the village is the fact that some cars are parking on the front street for two or three days at a time. The Chamber of Commerce in Orono has met with Counillors Clarke, Barr and Mayor Rickard in an attempt to clear up the parking problem. 'Mayor Rickard said that when the meter attendant was taken out of the village, il was understood that parking would be enforced by the police.
