J. D. C. Jackr and A. L. Wilde of Port Hope Htgh- School. Winnerof the prepared and i-. promptu speeches was Kathrl4, Siemon, 17, (Grade 12 Courtjtée 141gb School student) *ho spoke on "Billingualism our goal" WALKING TO BERLIN To PROMOTE PEACÉ~ Three Young rien on, a peace mnarch from Vancouver to Berlin spent Friday night in Port Hope after ha'ving marched along No. 2 Highway during the day. The young men travelled through Bow- manville and other points in the area. Their hope is to focus world attenton on peace by making cri-' sis-ridden Berlin the goal of their 6000 mile wa1k. In Berlin which they expect to reach in July, the three aîmi to set up peace centres in eastern and western zones. These wil serve for peace action, research, oduca- ation, information and commiunic-î ation. Th three are aIl members of the Canadian Campaign 'for Nu- clear Diàarmament which has pro- vided part. of the funds for the venture.
