Mr. Symons said the suc- cessful applicant would be a good organfizer and have the .bility to prepare and dis- pense information for the general public in an interest- ing manner. He would have a keen interest in peuple and exper- ience witb radio and EMO would be an asset. For further information please contact the above at 983-5317. on July 27 on a motion by Deputy Reeve of Brighton W.P. Dunk. Mr. Dunk called for the EMO co-ordinator's resignat- ion "due to the fact tbat an EMO plan was not activated by Mr. Wright during the Brighton disaster.' He said Mr. Wright had not carried out his duties properly and had not carried out instructions. Several councillors felt it unfair to discuss the matter without Mr. Wright being present but the final vote was 19-14 for his dismissal. Mr. Wright felt bis dismissal was a result of "some per- sonality clash" rather than lack of EMO activity over the Brighton disaster. A niew EMO co-ordinator will probably start work on Octo- ber 1. Mr. Symons said there would be no standing co-ordin- ator pending the appointment. "We have made arrange- ments with the area co-ordin- at6r in Peterborough and we wil l get in toucb witb b im if anything of a serious nature happens down here," Mr. Symons said.
