SONG SERVICE Th'le Orono' U.C.W. Song Service held in Orono United Churchi on Sunday NOvember 25th, was well attended by many of the local congregat- ion as well as visitors from various communities in the surrounding area. The' service was led by U.C.W. President, Mrs. F. Lycett, who introduced the special1 guest speaker, Mrs. Leroy Toîl, Iînmediate Past President of Toronto Confer- ence. This lady with a pleasing personality is very talented in piano and choir directing. With Mr. Douglas Dewell, church organist, ac- companying on the piano, she led the congregation in the singing of several hymns during the service. The church choir presented a lovely anthemn "Let Mount Zion, Rejoice" - also Mrs. G. Carson and Mrs. R. Chapman favoured with a duet, "Make the World Better Today." In her address, Mrs. Toîl brough some interesting ex- periences from her many travels around the world. She stated that a U.C.W. member should have four important attributes, namely. 1. A belief in God, 2. a realization of being a part of a great heritage in the vast company of Christians throughout the world. 3. Enthusiasm 4. Com- mnittment. In closing she quoted a poem from "Patch- work Pieces".
