Mr. Lawrence Greenwood, an incumbent member of the board will flot now represent the ward alon, with W. H. Carman. The recounit was obtained by Mr. Cameron when follow- *ing election night only two votes separated him and Mr. Greenwood. The count on election night was given as 478 ,fCameron and 480 for Cameron. The recount on Friday reversed the former decision giving Mr. Cameron the win over Mr. Greenwood. The recount went 476 for Cameron and 472 for Greenwood. Mr. Cameron now has a margin of four votes. Ward three of the Town of Newcastle will now be repre- sented by W. H. Carman and Mr. George Cameron for the years 1975 and'1976. The Region will now have a pump bouse constructed and a pum installed along with connec- ting the weIl to the Orono water systemn. It is now expected that the ýost of the well wiIl be lower han th, estimated $60,W0.o. The Orono Water System, which now is actually defunct, is turning over a sum Of $37,400 which is surplus from its opera tion over the past few years. This money is to be applied against the cost of the second well and will reduce the amount of debenturinig. The new well bas been developed to pumrp a total of 100 gallons per minute. This was established over a three- day pumaping test last week. The well driller stated that the new well could well pumap in excess of 150 gallons per min- ute and possible as much as 200 gpm.
