These trout are then able to spawn in the upper-reaches of the Ganar- aska. It bas been estimated that some 250 trout were taken last year on opening day but this year no count was attempted. Somewhere around eighty charges have been laid this year over the violation of fishing laws. The majority of these were issued along the Wilmot Creek west of Orono and in the Bowmanville area.
