S The cail begins with 1 -416-., Some hope for Northumberland Recycling The tact that six industrial groups have committed $45 million for the blue box operalions throughout Ontario over the next five years and Ontario has increased its funding 10 $38.5 million for 1990 is a sign of hope for the program. Northumberland Recycling operator has said he intends to con- tinue with his operation until the first of April. At the present lime a study is underway in Nor- thumberland for the continuation of the program that is carried out in eighî municipalities. Durham Region to take over recycling program An agreement has been reached underwhich the Region of Durham wiil take over the recyciing programn from the present volunteer board. The switch is to be made sometime between May 14 and the heginning of October. No beer in bail parks state Hope Township The word is going out and the signs are going up that Hope Township will not tolerate beer in their bail parks during games in the future.
