Orono Weekly Times, Wednesday, May 9, 1990-5 Public Notice To its Citizens (Revised) SECONDAR Y PLAN FOR THE HAMLET 0F ORONO AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN 0F NEWCASTLE'S COMPREHENSIVE ZONING BY-LAW 84-63 O N APRIL 23, 1990, THE COUNCIL 0F THE TOWN 0F NEWCASTLE POSTPONED THE PUBLIC MEETING IN RESPECT 0F THE SECONDARY PLAN FOR THE HAMLET 0F ORONO AND THE RELATED ZONING BY-LAW AMEND- MENTS. REVISED NOTICE is hereby given of a Public Meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 5, 1990 in respect of the following: 1> a proposed Secondary Plan for the Hamiet of Orono; and 2) pursuant to Section 34(12) of the Planning Act and in accordance with Regulation 404/83, pro- posed amendments to By-law 84-63, the Town of Newcastle's Comprehensive Zoning By-law. The Secondary Plan for the Hamlet of Orono and the related policies, once approved by the Town of Newcas- tîe, the Region of Durham and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, wiIl form part of the Town of Newcastle Officiai Plan. The effect of the proposed amendments to the Town of Newcastle's- Comprehensive Zoning By-law, which would imfplement the Orono Second-ary Plan, would be as follows: 1) in the Urban Residential Exception (R1I-2> zone as shown>, to increase the minimum lot area re- quirement f rom 695 square metres to 2000 square metres, and to increase the minimum lot frontage requirement f rom 20 metres to 25 metres; 2> in the Urban Residential Exception (R1-13) zone (as shown>, to increase the minimum lot area re- quirement from 695 square metres to 4000 square metres, and to increase the minimum lot frontage requirement from 20 metres to 30 metres; 3) to rezone lands in Part Lot 29, Concession 5, former Township of Clarke (as shown), f rom 'Ur- ban Residential Exception <R1-2> Zone' to 'Agricultural (A> Zone'; 4) to rezone lands in Part Lot 29, Concession 4, former Township of Clarke (as shown), f rom 'A gricultural (A)' to 'Urban Resîdential Excep- tion (R11-13) Zone'; 5) to rezone lands in Part Lot 29, Concession 4, former Township of Clarke (as shown), from 'Ur- ban Residential Exception (R1-13> Zone' to 'Agricultural Exception (A-1) Zone'. Please note that the amended frontage and area re- quirements for the 'R1-2' and the 'R1-13' zones onîy app- Iy to the creation of new lots. It does not affect the use of any existing lots in these zones which may have a lesser lot area andior frontage.
