On June 21, 1990 the Durham Horse Club held its' 4th meeting at Ashby's. We opened the meeting with the 4-H pledge. Jessica read last meeting minutes. Our president was absent so vice-president took care of business announcing that Go For the Gold would be ýon August 2nd, 1990 at 7:00. Also that it would be at Solîna Hall. After roll cal] which was "namne one parisite and one important fact about it, we split into 3 groups of 4. Group 3 went with Shelly to talk about diseases causîng unsound- ness. Group 2 went with Mary Ruth to talk about dîseases like tetanus. We also had- a short quiz. Group 1 went with Laura to talk about con- firmationof a horse. We switched groups every 20 minutes. After we wereaIl donc we went inside and had ashort Go For the Gold game. Mrs. Ashby served refreshments which were brownies and kool-aid. The meeting wýas adjorned by Kate and seconded by Laura. The next meeting will be held at Leanne's in Newcastle. 1On July 19, 1990 the Durham Horse Club held its' 5th meeting at Leanne Tresiders'. ,We started the meeting with the 4-H pledge and Jessica read the minutes. Next she didthe roll cal which was name one disease con- tagis or non-contagious and one fact about it. After, that we had a Go For the GoId game so that we could be ready for the real thing on August 2nd, 1990 at 7:00. After that Doug handed out sheets on hecalth of a horse. Then we watched a special movie on foaling and after wetalk- ed about the movie. ;We had refreshmenits ,>while we were watching the mnovie. Liz ad- journed the meeting and Kate seconded it. 1The next meeting -will ýbe held at Byers' on 23rd of August.
