Providing access to the Lynde Creek, the boardwalk ,was designed to be used by anglers, skaters and canoeists (in season), as well as nature photographers, artists and viewers. The boardwalk also pro- vides angling access for the physically challenged and will be us- ed by school classes and the Authority for educational pur- poses. In his remarks at the ribbon cut- ting ceremony, Mr. Bugelli noted that the facility would not only pro- vide a public service but would also serve as an example of cooperation between agencies. Valued at ap- proximately $28,000. With con- tributions from four agencies, the entire facility is about 200 metres in length. The Chairman of the Authority noted that in these times of finan- cial constraints, cooperative endeavours are the way of the future and that the Authority an- ticipated further cooperative pro- jects in other Conservation Areas. A newly formed committee last Friday moved into action quickly in opposition to a possible landfill site in the Orono area. The answer to road congestion by Gord Mills Suzuki, the Japanese car maker, believes that in the 21st century, motorists will have farmer's permis- sion just to swing off the road and cross open terrain when traffic jams become too much to bear. The Suzuki Constellation is a 3 litre, 120 mph, five door, "lavish home on wheels." Its twin camshaft multi- valve engine will cure itself of an electrical fault, and inside this stylish sports-hatchback is lavish safety seating for four adults plus aircraft-style controls, including a navigation system for the car to find its own route to your destina- tion, even diverting you across fields if necessary. There is also air conditioning, television and video for passengers, telephone-fax, and a cathode ray instrument panel with liquid crystal display controls. Each of the four seats has air-bag anti- injury protection. In a serious crash, cushions inflate in less than three-tenths of a second to protect occupant's faces from injury. Headlights are a new projector-type and the driver's view is from a tiny TV camera near the back bumper with surveys the whole area behind the car. Suzuki's executives claim that many of the new features will be coming on future Suzuki models in the near future. P.S.
