Do you experience peace, do you wtness miracles happening? Do you see people being born agaixi? Does your Chuircb have alter calîs? Do you have the opportunity ta go the front of the Chruch for prayer after the service? You should because thats what Jesus' life is ail about. Church should be exillarating. We should be excited about goixig ta church and excited ta see what God is goixig ta- do, but unfor- tunately many Churches do flot allow god ta do anpything in them. They are run by man and flot by the Hoiy Spirit. Maxiy people do flot go ta Church because they don't receive any when they go there. They neyer see a miracle and are flot told that God shaîl supply aIl of their needs. Phillipians 4:19. To many times people leave Church the same as they went in, sometimes worse because they don't understand the sermon and are feel- ing Zuity. Church should be a happy place flot a mourxifui sober place. God tells us ta make a joyful noise unto Him. Psaim 100-1. Some people feel they most be very quiet in1 Church flot speaking above a whisper. Some people don't believe you should have in- struments in the Church, Psalm 150:says 1) Praise ye the Lord, Praise god -i his sanctuary -: praise him in the firmamnnet of his power. 2) Praise Him for his might acts: praise Him according ta His excellent greatness. 3) Praise Him wth the soun d of the trumpet : praise Hlm with the psaltry and harp. 4) Praise Him with the timbreli and dance: praîse Him with stringed in- struments and organs.. 5) Praise Hlm upon the loud cymbals, praise Hxmn upon the high sounding cym- buils. 6) Let everyhing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Church shah be a place where you receive love, joy, peace and above ail new life i Jesus. Commients or questions P.O. Box 179, Orono B3ible Stuc4y Tuesday evening 7:30. A littie bit of this A little bit of that While operating the printixig press on Saturday we wondered just what we could write about for this week that may prove somewhat in- teresting. For starters we thought of our re- cent problems with the press itself. Onie of the oscillaing ixik rollers had quite oscillating. Fortunately we had anticipated this ta happen and as a result have had the repair parts available for over a moxth. Friday it just had ta be repaired axid although we generally have few problems in taking somethîng apart this was flot ta be case on this one. We did face a problem of extrac- ting a pin from the shaft whîch held the oscillating worm in place and finally ended up at Orono Garage ta use their vice. It was ta no avail and even coming back ta the office and driiling did not solve the problem. It was back ta the garage ta pre- sent the problem ta Kevin. Now we have a sneaky feeling that Kevin thinks seniors are just a little clutz perhaps. It was over to the vice for Kevin, as I had done and he, followed the same procedure, and as 1 had found out - it just didn't work. Neither of us could hold the shaft firm enough ta drive out the pin. Sharmila lost a leg to cancer when she was six years old. With the help of a prosthetic leg, Sharmila is able to skip and swim with her friends. Helping people with disabilities is just one way lottery ftinds are used. Lottery funds are also useci to provide grants in other areas such M SOntai Togethec Well 1 did get some words of wisdomn from Kevin..."See the old man". So the Old Mani addressed the vice, opened the jaws exiough ta cradie the shaft without it falling through. A sharp tap on the punch and the pin, is on its way. Two minutes at best. 1 had ta chuckie ta myself of course. It was sa simiple,,s0 logical, but backed by experiexice and some common sense. xI fact Ross' dad, Pete,' had performed the same pro- cedure maxiy years ago for me as 1 now recail. We will leave Ross axid Kevin alone ta work out problems for otiiers. But it was ixterestixig that upoxi getting the press back into operatioxi who should drop into the office but philosophical Sîd Barrabaîl, another mechaxiic of note, formerly of Oroxio but xiow of Peterborough. After the formalities of how is the family anid Toors we asked if he was doing any mechanical work? "I-t just so0 happens I've just built a small shop equipped with a hoist ixi the backyard of Bob's-, said Sid. "The graxidchildren expect graxidpa ta keep their vehicles runxiing axid that keeps me busy." Sid always was accommodating axid he's just flot oxie ta chanige. 1 recaîl oxie of my first recollec- tions of Sid and it goes back some years during a time when the Rese, Army was active in Orono. He ý giving instructions to the recruits on the internai combustion engîne. After a number of sessions it came to problem solving. What would you check if the engine does not go?, he asked. There was a lot of hot-shot answers. But methodical Sid pointed out the first ta check was the gas and then it was step by step from there on. Agairi logic, common sense and experience. We must tell Len thar while there is some dissatisfaction li the city over thee cost of car phones for, school board administrators it has been a fact within aur local board of education for sometime. No 1 can't tell him if the phones are used for personal calîs which cost from five to ten times more than through the use of regular phones. Time is valuable with the excep- tion of coffee breaks and a rehash of yesterday's golf game.. Maybe, Len, you could tell me what those work crews always have ta talk about you see drinkîng caf- fee ahl the time. 1 suspect they are afflicted with the political virus -"talk, talk, talk, talk and no ac- tion., (Continued page 7)ý as sports and recreation, arts. and, culture, hospitals, and province- wide charities.
