We have seen our first small flock of house sparrows, the first for us for quite sometîrne. They seem 10 have disappeared from around the house for some reason or another. We-read one article that the Hbuse Finch would drive out the sparrow and it seems 10 have been the case around home. Caught a glirnpse of a Pileated woodpecker in the Ganaraska and the Roughflegged hawks have been hovering over the fields for the last three to four weeks - a sign that some winter birds are moving south from the north.
