School Health Fair, Health Awareness was the focus at a Health Fair promoted by the Durham Health Department and Clarke High School on April 24 ini the schools gynlnasiunl. Students showed enthusiasm to participate in the various gaines, quizzes and activities testing their knowledge on health issues. Such activities included a mmingo game - a bingo type gaine using the four main food groups - a lung test measuring carbon monoxide content done by the Durhamn Region Lung Association, a dental examination, a drug presentation done by the R.C.M.P., and a dental heal th quiz donc by the Dental Departmnent. Each exhibit included several information pamphlets and rea(ings. There were several other exhibits displayed all of which sparked the studenlS interests..' The fairs oreanizers which included Carol Reilly of the Public 'Health Departmetit, Cathy Zeldin, the Health Fairrommittee, and several student Volunteers, were happy with the large tumnOut. Registered charities have an obligation to show the federal govermnent and the commnunity that supports them, how the money is being handled, said Gerald Kennedy of the'Daily Bread Food Bank in Toronto.
