4-Orono Weekly Times, Wednesday, June 12, 1991 Town Haller's Mercied Greg Bull struck out the first batter he faced, last Thursday night but that was about ail the boys had to cheer about. With only eighit players showing up, Mothersillîs scored eighteen runs in the first three innings to rnercy the local boys 18-4. Walks were the teams downfall, as they allowed twelve. As their players cnjoyed ýtheir free passes to first, the Bowmanville pitcher was, striking out six of our players. When we did get a hit, it seemed to always go directly to their infielders. Paul Dreslinski was on base twice for the HaIlers' and Tomas Wakefield contributed a triple before leaving for his other surnmer sport. Grant Esier played a solid gameat shortstop throwing ont several runiners. Another brighit spot for the homne town was the relief pitching of this wccks star of the game Ryan Dcwulf who struck out five batters during the two innings he pitched. The coaching staff was flot pleased with the effort that the tcam put forth during the game. "Too many errors and mental mistakes made the score even worse than it should have been," grippcd Coach Witheridge after the game. He called on the boys to put on a game face for two hours next game.
