Corner Festive Pinwheel Cookies 1 pkg (250 g) crearn cheese, 2 cups ail purpose flour softened 1 tbsp baking powder 3/4 cup butter, softened 1 cup coloured sugar 1 egg, separated pike 2 cups ail-purpose flour 18 gumdrops, cut in baif In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and egg yolk until light, Stir in flour and baking powder until stifi dough formns. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Lightly beat egg Wiite; set aside. On floured surface roll haif the dough at a time iltO 15 x 9 inch rectangle. Cut dough into 3-inch squares. Brush each square with egg white and place, egg-side down, intOl sugar sprinkles. Lift out, shake to remnove excess and place suear-side up on ungreased baking sheets. With a knife cut dough diagonally from each corner to within 1/12 inch from centre. Fold alternating points of square to centre to form pfitwheeI. overlapping and pinching gently to seal in centre, Press gumndrop haif in centre of cookie. Bake in 350 degree F. oven 9 to 12 minutes or until set. Cool on pan 5 minutes, remnove to wire racks; cool completely. Makes about 3 dozen cookies. .,' ~ .............
