Ontario Comnmunfity News- papers Association (OCNA) president Lamne Eedy an- naunced the 12 individuals and one group award recipients Decemnber 13 after tbey were chasen ftrm amang 148 nomi- nations submitted tbraugb the member newspapers across the province. The Oakville based OCNA, which represents over 265 corn- munity newspapers in Ontario and the Northwest'Territaries, bas honaured Ontari's Junior Citizens with an awards pragrain since 1981 with co-sponsar Canadian Airines International. Young people from agres six ta 18 are recognized for their courage, ingenuity, resourcefulness, initia- tive, leadership, fortitude and cormmuflity service. The award recipients and their famiies will be guests of Can- adian Airlines and OCNA at an awards ceremony at the Howard Johnison's Hotel at the Toronto Airport on Friday, February 28, 1992. The awards will be pre- sented by Ontaios Lieutenant Gavemnor, the Honaurable Hla Jackman and each recipient will receive a $200 cheque, a com- memorative plaque, a gold lapel pin and a family portrait with the Lieutenant Govemnor.
