They proceeded te the back room where Jim Stutt was eating lunch and with the handgun drawu ordered hlm eut to the dispensary. At this point lie was shoved into the corner and ordered te provide the two with drugs in no uncertain terms. Jlm states lie told them he had no drugs in the store and pointed te Tylenol that was lined up on the shelf. With this the one carrying the heavy calibre hand gun fired a shot into the fleor repeatiug the demaud for drugs. In the meantime Ron Flynn entered the store but quickly ran out secing the balaclavas and as we understand ran up the stret to phone 911. In the meantime a call went into 911 from the Store and Police arrived within a period of some four minutes. It was a mnatter of precedure but it was cause for an hours debate. At the inaugural meeting of council the council passed a motion that the Mayor aud the Chief Administrative Officer, Larry Kotseff, meet witli representatives of tic Ministry of Municipal Affairs to seek information as to the procedure for the name change and report back to council and the Region of Durham. On Monday Councs. Hooper and Hannah preseuted a motion that cailed on the Region of Durhamn te give approval of the namne change for the Town of Newcastle. -Counc. Hooper bad written the Minister of Municipal Affairs tbrec days after the election asking for the procedure te be foliowed and last T'hursday had received a reply to lis letter.
