To get there this team had .to6 go through two series to fmallymeet Vaughian in the somi-finals. The first serieswas against Pickering. The boys met very little competition here and took it in three slraight. The next series was against Markham a nd aithough it was a very rough series our boys took it three straight. On to the third poried, Vaughan, the Pee Wees had sat 2 weeks waiting te meet titistearn who they had not boat alyear! The first game in Vaughan found the boys very anxious te get goirig. They tried evorything te put the puck in the net, but came up short with a score of 5-4, but the boys knew they could do it. Monday, saw Vaughan travelling te Hampton area te play the second game in the series. The Bowrnanville toamn came eut flying and played excellent hockey beating Vaughan 4-2. Vaughan couldn't seem te understand this new styled hoc key teamn of the Tomos! With a win under their boît back to Vaughan on Friday and after an hour delay the game finally started. The boys dug in and set their mark. The toam played as a team and kept pounding away at- the Vaughan gealie, it paid of as they came away with a 5-3 win. Back te Hampton on Saturday, the boys knew they had te win this game or it was back te Vaughan Sunday. Vaughan came out bard and fast, but our boys were ready for them and the Teros were the first te ýbc put up on the scerebeard. It turned eut te be a very exciting game with the boys winning 3-2. Saturday, Orono visited the Bowmanville house league select team for a rematch of a game earlier in the season. Orono came eut fast with Josh -Couture scering on the first shift of the game assisted'by Jeff Thompson and Justin Standeven. Orono went ahead by two as Scott Wood scoreti assisted by Jeff Thompson before the first period ended. Bowmanville eut scored Orono 2 te, inl thc second period with our lone goal coming off the stick of Jeff Thompson unassisted as he engineered a fine end to, end rush. In the- third period Orono dominated the play with Josh Brandt filling in for our regulars for the first time scored from thc slot, assisted by hîs teammate Josi Couture. Following a Bowmanrville goal Jeff Thompson scored assisted by Justin Standeven and Lee Allin. Bowmanville refused te give up scoring once more in the dying minutes of the game but two goals inm'the final minute of play off the sticks of Collin Cureatz assisted by Scott Wood and one by Matt.
