This week's draw winners were Doris Joli; Myrtle Alldread; Marie Brooks;, Tom Wilson; Thelma Clarke. The fun in Newtonville continued Saturday evening with a Hallowe'en Dance at the Newtonville Hall. Some interesting characters were on hand, such as a black'cat, a clown, and a couple of cave-folk. Music for the evening was provided by the Orono Fiddle Club. An évent of a different nature tookplace on Sunday morning as Newtonville United Church celebrated its 126th Anniversar y. Guest preacher for the special day was Denzil Dale. Dale said that "he and Dorot.hy were pleased to be invited," to share in the special occasion of Newtonville United Church. He added that it was "good to see faces that he recogniizes." Reverend Black stated that the anniversary.was about "126 years of familles coming together here." Denzil Dales sermon talked' about getting back to basics, and part of his sermon mentioned "ereflecing'on those people who reaily make this place hum." 1Sunday evening, of course, saw the streets fuit of funny littie creatures, carrying home bags ful of goodies. Finally, a campaign is currently going on in Newtonville te have sidewalks extended te the Newtonville Public Scbool.
