The Agreement recognizes the authority of The First Nation to regulate and licence Charitable Gaining Activity such as Bingos, Raffles and Monte Carlo events on Reserve. The First Nation Gaming Authority wili be working very ciosely with the Ontario Garning Control Commission to ensure that ail gamnes meet the highest levels of integrity, and that the ruies of play are cons istent with off Reserve events. The upcoming months will see a lot of activity on the Reserve> as planning and construction for a Charitable Gaming, Faciiity moves forward. Members of Band Council, and the consultants have been meeting with Provincial, Regional and Municipal officiais to address some specîfic concerns. These concerras include traffic pattern studies, road use and proper sewage and water facilities for the new building. The Arthritis Society is a not-for-profit organization devoted solely to funding and promoting Arthritis research, patient care and public education. E-ach September, the Arthritis Society conducts a door to door canvassing campaign. The canvassers are caring people within your community who are willing to donate a few hours of their time to help others. We count on people like you, your friends and neighbours, to provide support to oui- programs and services through your contributions of trne and money. Oui- achievements would flot be possible without your help. We are currently, desperately, seeking volunteers for our September campaign. in communities across the Durham Region.
