MPP upset Orono "freezing in the dark" In a letter to the editor of the Courtîce News MPP Gord Milîs has the following to say: Dear editor: I wonder at your attempt 10 be humorous in your column of October 19 under the headline< "Let'em freeze in the dark". If it was supposed to bc funny, you tripped over your nose. As one that enjoys the tranquility in Orono, and being neîghbours alongside folks who have provided so mueh for the good of our community through community efforts, your attempt at humour at out collective expense wasn't as funny as perhaps you thought it was. What we lack in numbers in Orono we make up with by resolution and determination, which is lacking in some places wherethe natives outnumber the sheep and cows. Start by looking at the community efforts in making Orono Arena the fine faiity it is. Take a look at the local Fair ]Board, our band. Not bad for a place where the sheep and cows outnumber the natives as you put it.
