Again this year there are many seeds available for the new varieties of plants. Whether you plant seeds *under growing llghts or on the window ledge, it is always a joy to watch these s eeds ger- minate into healthy plants for the garden. Tl-is leisurely pas time allows us to plan and dream of the pleasant gar- deilng days ahead. On March 5th, some mem- bers enjoyed a bus trip to the Toronto Flower and Garden Show "Canada Blooms" held at the Toronto Congress Centre. It was an early spring stroli along the winding pathis of' the landscaped gardens with the abundance of colour- fui and fragrant spring flow- ers in bloom. Many flowering shrubs and trees had been forced into bloom and placed among the lovely numerous landscaped gardens designed by growers of Landscape Ontario. Many ponds (small and large), waterfalls and rocks were incorporated in these delightfül gardens. The floral design area was a flower designers paradis e with elaborate mass floral dis- plays and small floral arrangements creatively designed by contestants not only from the Toronto area, but from Great Britain, New Zealand, Belgium, Bermuda, south Africa and United States. Needless to say this spring outing was enjoyed by ail. BLA are featured in No Track's beautiful "(Daylilies)".
