Good-Luck! school news School.is back into full swing at St. Stephen's and as winter settles in to stay, stu- dents are becoming warm with excitement about the many events that are taking place. From parades to tours to presentations to trips, our students are contributing to the community and gaining new experiences while learn- ing both inside and outside of the classroom. With the help of Mr. Stephen Morgan and Ms. Laureen LeMoire, students raised over $800 for the United Way in the past sever- al weeks. Hot dog days, hat days, and donation boxes were organized for this worthy cause. Under the guidance of Mr. Rob Morrison, St. Stephen's students travelled to Toronto on the evening of November 12th to take in a Raptor's basketball game. Their cheers and spirit helped the team to play their best. On November 16th, twen- ty-four music students from grades 10-OAC played Christmas hits such as Winter Wonderland and Swingle Bells under the direc- tion of Ms. Debbie Harrison at the Bowmanville Santa Claus Parade. A wagon, gen- by Rebecca Walhout erously donated by the Price family, carried the students and their instruments for the fourth year in a row. This event kicks off the annual St. Stephen's Christmas music tour. Practices are well under way for St. Stephen's OAC Christmas Drama presenta- tion for OAC students to final- ize their decisions concerning their futures. University applications are due to Guidance on December 5th. Grade 8 students from feeder schools will be visiting us on December 4th to pre- pare for their future high school careers. 205 students will be greeted by the Principal, Student Council Prime Minister, Guidance Department and representa- tives who will give various presentations. They will also be bused to the site of the new facility where they will have the opportunity to be a part of the first grade 9 class to attend the new St. Stephen's Secondary.
