Hanna- À pleasing event -Dickie. ^ y.™»* took place at the îome of Mr. and Mrs. John Dickie, Nest- eton, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 27th, whea-their youngest daughter, Miss Esther Annetta Pearl, and Mr. Arthur Henry Hanna, of Cartwright, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, the ceremony icing performed by Rev. John S. Dobbin, Owen Sound. Several relatives and friends of the contracting parties were jresent to witness the ceremony and to wish them a long, useful a happy life. The bride was gowned in Copenhagen blue chiffon tafetta silk and was wearing a white panama hat with veil. She car- ried a bouquet of bridal roses, sweet peas and maiden hair ferns and entered the parlor on the arm of her father, who gave her away. The young couple were unattended. unattended. After the ceremony the party entered the dining-room, where a dejeuuer was spread. The bridegroom s gift to the bride was a beautiful necklace set with pearls. The bride received many useful and costly presents. The young couple left on a trip to Oshawa, Toronto and Hamilton. Cooper--W 000. A very pretty wedding was celebratec at the home of Mrs. James Wood, Orono, on Wednesday. June 27th, when her youngest daughter, Edith Maud, was un ited in holy matrimony with Mr. Percj G. Cooper of Oshawa. The day was a perfect one for such a happy occasion and Nature looked her very prettiest Some 30 guests were present. The cere, mony was performed in the parlor of the home, which was decorated with lilies, ferns and snowballs and was conducted by Rev. R. A. Delve, Gourtice. The bride was attired in corn-flower blue taffe ta silk, trimmed with blue silk net, em broidered in silver, carrying a shower bouquet of carnations and asparagus ferns and looked most charming. She also wore the groom's gift, a sunburst o: pearls and WuS given, away by her brother Mr. Fred Wood. "Cedar Glen Farm", the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Osborne, town line Clarke, was gay with flags and bunting in honor of the annual gathering of the^ Osborne family at their annual picnic on Monday July 2.
