The bride is the beloved daughter of Herbert and Grace Taffs of R.R. No. 2, Parry Sound, formerly Dundas, while the groom's proud parents are Albert and Jean Chappie of Bowmanville. The bride's attendants included her sister Miss Elenore Taffs of Waterdown as Maid of Honour and bridesmaids Miss Karen Slattes of Grimsby, neice of the bride, and Miss Susan Chappie of Bowmanville, sister of the groom. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. The officiating minister was the Reverend W. Allison Haynes. Following the ceremony the wedding party proceeded to the Royal Botanical Gardens near Burlington Heights for pictures. The reception was held in Hamilton at the Hillcrest Restaurant where a smorgasbord dinner was served followed by an evening of dancing. The newlyweds began their honeymoon by journeying to Toronto and Niagara Falls and on the following Thursday left for a 3'/ 2 week long holiday in England, Wales and Scotland. Mr. and Mrs. Randy A. Chappie will continue to reside in Hamilton. The first general meeting will be held on the evening of October 20. Our guest speaker will be Mr. H.O.
