Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fadel and Alain, Rexdale, were Sunday visitors at the Rectory with her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Allan Haldenby. Mrs. Tom Buckley and grandson Jamie of Banff, Alberta, visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. George Buckley. During their stay other visitors included Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glenney of Lindsay, Miss Jessie Lamb, Omemee and Mrs. Doris White, Toronto. Mrs. Elizabeth Skelding entertained the ladies of the Euchre Club last Monday. Eleven members of the Newcastle TOPS club attended the area rally at Bowmanville High School on Sunday, October 31. On Sunday, October 24, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brereton, accompanied by granddaughter granddaughter Denise Alldread of Oshawa, motored to Strath- roy, Ontario, where they were dinner guests of Rev. Bob and Mrs. Hayne and family. Later in the evening Sam, Margaret and Denise were very pleased to be able to attend the beautiful Induction Service when Rev. Hayne was given charge of St. John the Evangelist, Strathroy, and Ste. Anne's, Adelaide. The Breretons and Denise returned home on Monday after enjoying a pleasant few hours visiting with the Haynes and Barb's mother, Dr. Turner. We are pleased to report the Haynes are well and happy and are eagerly looking forward to beginning a new life in their new home and new community. We wish them well!
