Next week - Wed. evening at the Caesarea Centre - for a fun - filled social get-to-gether. On a warm, sunny morning, June 19, 11:15 a.m. the Nestleton United Church service plus the S. School and congregational annual picnic was held on the lovely spacious lawn at the home of Norm and Bernice Main, Nestleton, Nestleton, with a fine attendance attendance for this special day. Rev. Dale Davis presented presented an inspiring message with thoughts re-Father's Day. The Scripture taken from Exodus 6: 6-13 and John 8: 31-38. Service closed with the Three Fold Amen. A bountiful pot luck luncheon consisting of a variety of salads, meats, rolls, and tempting tempting desserts - topped off by beverage were much enjoyed by the hungry worshippers. After the last dish was cleared away the S. School presentations took place. Superintendent Robt. Maint asked teachers to come forward and the following teachers presented the prizes: Arlene Malcolm, Janice MacKenzie, and Arlene Davis. The attendance prizes were given for 50 percent yearly attendance. attendance. Promotions to Primary Primary class: Tracy Doyle, Heather Malcolm and Kingsley Malcolm. After the presentations presentations - games were the order of the day for young and older folk alike and much enjoyed. In charge of games were: Jo-anne Malcolm and Arlene Malcolm and they carried them off beautifully. A fine day of fèllowship for Nestleton S. School and congregation. Norm and Bernice Maire, Nestleton, were in London, Ontario for three days recently - Norm attending the Land Division Committee Committee of Adjustment Convention, Convention, held at the HoldiayHoliday Inn. Activity was planned for. the wives. One "highlight" "highlight" was viewing a Museum of Indian Artifacts. Artifacts. Other pleasurable events were enjoyed as well. London is a beautiful beautiful city with many places of interest to see. The Nestleton Hall .Board is having a Flea Market this coming Saturday, Saturday, June 25 9 a.m. at the Community centre. She is in fine spirits end we trust she'll come along well and be a new person before long able to really enjoy life. Very pleased to hear that friend Stanley Malcolm of Port Perry is recuperating well since surgery in Port Perry Hospital this past week.
