On Sunday, June 26th, a beautiful summery day brought forth our worshippers worshippers to our church service. After Pastor Joe gave the children's story, the children children and teachers retired to the lower level for the Sunday School Awards which were to be presented. Mr, Lafave chose for the text for today: Proverbs 6:6- 11. We can all take a lesson from Pastor Joe's message which was entitled "Lessons "Lessons From The Ants." The summer schedule for church is July 3 and 10, Joint Services - Tyrone U.C. at 10 a.m,; July 17,24 and 31, Joint Services - Enniskillen U.C. at 10 a.m. August both churches will be closed. A good opportunity to travel about and worship in other areas; this can be both a fun and learning experience. Give it a try. Pastor Joe was a very busy man on Sunday, June 26, preaching at three services. Our regular service at Enniskillen, Enniskillen, Tyrone service and another special service at Enfield in the evening. The church was nicely filled. The pianist for this' service was Mrs. Ruby Griffin Griffin and special music was by the Blue Grass Orchestra. Orchestra. Pastor Lafave's message was based on "How Does Jesus Love Us?" A special thank you was expressed expressed to all who helped arrange this service and refreshments refreshments following the service. Lawn Bowlers Report BY MARG NICKS Port Perry Lawn Bowling Club hosted a goodly number of out-of-town entries in their Men's Pairs tournament on Saturday, June 18th. Among them two teams from the Bowmanville Club (all old pros.) Skip Brian Hughes and Lead Harold Bennett won all three games and captured the "winner of the day award" with a total of 42 points; while Skip Ab. Mavin (Wanda) and Lead Peter Bathgate (Wilma) came through with the "high one game" award (19 points). Incidentally, their over-all total was 40 points, pretty good for one win ana two losses I'd say - some lovely bowls fellows I Aside from the monetary awards presented, a day of friendly rivalry and good fellowship fellowship was enjoyed by all. Our members thanked the ladies of the Port Perry Club for their generous hospitality in providing lunch tor the participants and guests. The Fred Cole Memorial Trophy was won this year by a local entry at the Pairs Lawn Bowling Tournament held here on Saturday, June 25th.
