Frank's Midgets on e Hot Shook The Juvenile Toros extended extended their league play record Wednesday night to nine wins and one defeat by defeating the visiting Baltimore Juveniles Juveniles by a score of 5 - 2. Only the strong goaltending from the Baltimore netminder kept the score from being higher. Leading the way for the Toros was Deryk Clark with two goals and two assists. Also scoring for Bowmanville were Steve Taylor, Glen German and Trevor Martyn. Picking up assists for the cement men were Glen German with two, John Stevenson, Roger Hornsby, Steve Taylor and Trevor Martyn. Bowmanville's next home game is Wed. Dec. 14 aV 8:00 p.m. at Darlington arena. Town League Action In the first game of the evening, Hunt's Photography defeated Castle Hotel by a score of 7-2. Hunts took a 3 - 0 first period lead and never looked back. They lead 4-1 after two periods and out- scored theHotelers3-1 in the final frame. Scoring for Hunts were Doug Rickard and Paul Slemon, each with a pair of goals and singles went to Bob Howes, Dave Down and Jerry Leddy. Picking up assists for the Photomen were Brad Godfrey with three, and singles going to Wayne Hunt, Randy Masterson, Bob Howes, Glen Murphy, Don Farrow, Doug Rickard and Jerry Leddy. Scoring for Castle was John Hogarth with the pair assisted by Bill Hogarth and Rick Woolner. The second game of the evening saw Bowmanville Golf go into a defensive shell after taking a 4 - 1 second period lead and end up giving Townsports three goals in the final period for the 4 - 4 tie. The first period saw Town- sports take a 1 - 0 lead on a goal from Darrell Knox. But the second period was owned by the green slime as Bowmanville Bowmanville Golf scored four goals. Scoring for the Country Club were Gary Russeldorp with two goals, Tim Almond and Jerry Johnston. The third period saw Town- sports pick away at Bowmanville Bowmanville Golf's lead and finally tie the game in the dying seconds after pulling their goaltender on a goal from Chris Dwyer. Also scoring for Townsports in the third period was Brian Allin with a pair. Picking up assists for Townsports were Doug Crough two, Tom Lang- maid two, Sam Allen and Bruce Osborne. Assisting on Bowmanville Golfs' goals were Jerry Johnston Johnston two, Mike Adams two, Sandy Brown and Gary Dusseldorp. The Walter Frank Real Estate Major Midgets stretched stretched their latest unbeaten streak to six games with a 3 - 0 victory over Oshawa Wings. It was the fourth sucessive win, and fifth win on the six game streak. It was a close checking game, with neither team getting getting many scoring chances. Andrew Davey finally broke the ice, converting a pass from Brad Cruess. Brad Bamsey also assisted. Mark Hickey made it 2 - 0, blasting home a pass from Scott McLeod. Pierre St. Amand started the play. Chris Lee got the final Toro goal from Davey and Cruess. Chris Langford got the shutout, being forced to stop a penally shot with two seconds left. On Monday, Nov. 28 the Midgets scored their most lopsided lopsided win of the year, a 7 - 2 win over Pickering. Cruess, Lee, and Davey also contributed assists. Sunday, Nov. 27, the Toros edged Peterborough No. 2~s 5 - 4, averaging an earlier deteat. Brent Neill, Jeff Dawson, Lome Whitmarsh, Cruess and Davey tallied for Walter Frank. Phil Bird came up with another strong effort in the Toro goal. The W. Frank Midgets travelled to Oshawa on Nov. 23 to play the Oshawa Kiwanis Minor Midgets. It was an exciting, exciting, well played game with Bowmanville emerging with a 7 - 4 win. Whitmarsh led the Toro attack with a goal and five assists. Mark Hickey had two goals and two assists, and Tom McLaughlin and Scott McLeod each scored two goals. The Toros and Cobourg staged a shootout at Darlington Darlington Sports Centre on Nov. 21, with the Toros scoring three goals in the 3rd period to gain a 7-all tie. The final goal came with only 41 seconds on the clock. Jeff Dawson scored three goals for Bowmanville, while Hickey had a goal and three assists. Brad Cruess scored the tying goal. McLaughlin and St. Amand had the other goals. McLeod chipped in with two assists, with Glen Duncan, Davey, Whitmarsh and St. Amand also drawing assists. A short-handed Toro team beat Belleville No. 2 5 - 3 in Belleville. Minus four regulars, regulars, the Toros compensated with second effort from everyone. everyone.
