On Tuesday, Dec. 13, Bowmanville travelled to Baltimore for a rough encounter encounter and came away with a 9 - 2 victory. The Toros led 3 -1 after the ERV BROOKS Service Station 195 King E. 623-5679 first period, 6 - 2 after two periods and outscored the home team 3 - 0 in the final frame. Scoring for Bowmanville were Bill Hogarth and Roger Hornsby, each with two goals and singles going to Deryk Clark, Steve Taylor, Dan Weir, Grant Gibson and Scott Richards. Assists went to Dan Weir with three, Deryk Clark and John Stephenson with two, Steve Taylor and Scott Richards. On Wednesday night, the Toros hosted the first place Oshawa Black Hawks of the Little N.H.L. and defeated them 4 -1. This was a fine exhibition game for the Cement Men as the first period saw the teams play a scoreless period of hockey. Bowmanville led 2 - 1 after two periods and outscored Oshawa 2 - 0 in the final period. Scoring for the Toros were Deryk Clark, Dan Weir, Steve Taylor and Ron Hopcroft. Clark and Weir also had two assists. Toros next home game is Wed., Dec. 21 at 8:00 p.m. against Trenton.
