Durham's regional council council will be paying an additional additional $115,000 to complete renovations at the Fairview Lodge home for the aged, in Whitby. To date, Durham has spent a total of $3,250,000 on the Fairview Lodge project, which includes construction construction of a new 59-bed wing and renovations to an existing existing building. Durham will continue to negotiate with the Province of Ontario for payment of half of the additional funds required to complete the project. Durham's regional council council will be spending $9,796 to purchase a micro computer computer which will be used in the Day Care Services division division of the Social Services Department.
