On Sun., Jan. 1st, 1984, New Year's Day we had a joint service with our sister church Tyrone. There was a fair crowd considering Saturday night was New Year's Eve. Pastor Joe had a Mister X - Solution for the congregation to figure out during the children's story time. We sang the chorus "Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place." We also sang "Angels from the Realm of Glory", "Twas In The Moon of Wintertime", "Go Tell It On The Mountain". The senior choir sang a delightful number under the direction of their choir leader and organist Mrs. Ulah Chambers. Mr. Lafave chose as his message "A People Prepared". As we were on our way out of the church we wished our neighbours a Very Happy New Year. Announcements are as follows: Bible study will resume on Friday, Jan. 6th at the Manse at 7:30 p.m. Communion Sunday, Jan. 8th. On this day there will be a pulpit exchange between Rev. Paul Erb and Pastor Joe Lafave. Try hard to come out as this may be the last time we will hear Pastor Erb as he is retiring this year. Please . . . all submissions for Annual Reports to be in by January 8th, 1984. Enniskillen Congregational Meeting January 22nd, 7 p.m. Official Board meeting will be held at Tyrone U.C.
