Hopefully, Ennis- more will have a United Church building in the not too distant future. Some discussion about the U.C.W. Bake Sale at the Arts and Crafts Show at the Manvers Arena, on June 2nd. Conveners were picked for this project. "Kitchen clean-up" of the Bethany Church is planned in the near future. Mrs. Edgar Beer was the convener for the Worship Period. Scripture read by members, and an interesting reading, called "Your Religion Religion is two letters short." It is "do" this and "do" that, and not a word of what Christ had "done." The program under the direction of Mrs. Vera Robinson. Members read: The trial of Jesus through Pilot's eyes. A summary of the trial. An outline of the olrama at Golgotha. The events of the Resurrection morning. The Resurrection. Mrs. Vera Robinson concluded concluded by saying: "can there by any doubt? On Wed., April 4th it was Golden Stars meeting at the Parish Hall with shuffleboard and quilting in the morning. At 1:30 President Georgina Scott opened the business part of the meeting. Durham Expands Computer Use For its Micro Computer Lab -- Durham College has acquired acquired 21 IBM-PC micro computers. computers. The computers are being used to train regular and continuing education students about popular software software applications such as Visicalc, Lotus 1-2-3 (includes business graphics), d base II, Wordstar, Multimate, etc. All business program students such as Accounting, Marketing, Marketing, Industrial, Secretarial, Office Administration, etc. obtain this "hands-on" knowledge knowledge as part of their regular program, The Micro Computer Centre is also training local business to use the same software application programs. Since April 1983, over 500 hours of training has been provided to local business and continuing education students on micro computers. All the PCs have two 300K disk drives and 256K of RAM. Ten units have color screens and graphic cards, which allow the use of moot business graphic software packages. Two Hewlett Packard plotters are used for hard copy of graphic information.
