H. Hilsden Christian singer-songwriter Ruth Dunfield will be presenting presenting an Easter concert at the Bowmanville Seventh-day Adventist Church Easter Sunday at 7:30 p.m. The concert will consist of a number of original and traditional traditional compositions that Ruth has presented over the last number of years. She accompanies accompanies herself on guitar and the hammer dulcimar, a traditional instrument • that first was created'almost five thousand years ago. Her music is soft and mellow that has a quieting effect to it. Probably the most interesting aspect to the music is in its honesty. Ruth sings of the problems, needs, hurts that effect each of us. She then tries to show where she believes believes help lies for each of us in the person of Christ. Her story songs, as well, bring the Easter theme close to each of us. Ruth's first album "Times Like This," on the Bridge label has sold well both in the United States and parts of Canada. The record has received received good reviews and a fair amount of airplay on a number of Christian radio stations in the United States. The record has also received some attention in Europe and world wide distribution through Chapel-Bridge records. Ruth Dunfield The concert is free and all are welcome. This entertaining entertaining yet inspiring collection of songs is bound to delight all who come out.
