In the Budweiser GT at Mosport, a race of six hours or 1,000 kilometres (whichever comes first), the Group Cl cars are limited to 600 litres while the Group C2 cars may only use 330 litres. Basic safety, length, width and height dimensions are common to both categories while Group Cl cars have a minimum weight requirement of 850 kilograms (1870 pounds) and Group C2 cars have a minimum weight of 700 kilograms kilograms (1540 pounds). Gay is presently serving the second year of a two year term as President of the Oshawa-Whitby- Newcastle United Way Board of Directors. As President he serves as an ex-officio member to all committees and takes an active part in their deliberations. Prior to becoming President, Mr. Gay has served on the Board for six years.
