While there they visited on some of the Tall Ships and had the pleasure of entertaining two of the sailors from one of them. Later on- the whole family family went to Gananoque for a special birthday celebration for Mrs. Camerons' aunt, Mrs. Maxine Pedley of Kitchener. Kitchener. An interesting few days! Cousin Allen Nottingham, Nottingham, Watford, England, is a. guest with Roy and Doris Nottingham Nottingham of Caesarea- spending a few weeks with them seeing the beauty spots in Ontario. Leona and Ralph Sadler, Nestleton, enjoyed enjoyed a visit with Ian and Gloria Scott, Charles and Jennifer of Corbyville this past week. A nice break from the usual routine. The annual two ball foursome washeld at Pine Ridge Golf Course, for good friends of Caesarea on August 11th. Winners were: Nancy Prout and Harry Gay- low gross; Doris Prout and Howard Mahaffy- low net; Fiona Guthrie and Morgan Sears- runners runners up- low net; Jo Betson- longest drive; Ruth Gay- hidden hole; Irene Camisso- longest drive from sandtrap; Wanda Sears- best putt. Sincere thanks to Harry and Ruth Gay who "hosted" an interesting party at their home for friends from the two ball foursome that evening! A lovely bridge party was held at the home of Gladys Lawrie, Caesarea, on Thursday, August 9. Winners were Bruce Lawrie and Len Prout. The Sam Cawkers, Scugog Point Road, attended attended the enjoyable picnic picnic held by the Honeydale W.I. Auction Sale An Auction Sale of the household property of the late Ruth Proutt in Nestleton will be held Saturday, August 18, at 11:00 a.m. YELVERTON A number from our Yelver- ton community attended the Victoria County Pork Producers Producers Annual Pork B.B.Q. in Ops Arena on Saturday evening evening and were completely absorbed by the 900 patrons who were also in attendance. An excellent dinner was provided provided of pork chops, ribs and farmers sausage and the accessary "fixings". All first course but no dessert course to top off the dinner. The music supplied by the band "Thun- derroad" was well received for the dance that followed. In two weeks time Ops Arena is holding a repeat performance, a 10th Anniversary of their arena with a Beef B.B.Q. followed followed by a dance following with the "Shiloh" dance band present from Napanee. Should be a good evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Malcolm, Todd and Tara were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Gundrie at their cottage near Barrie. The children were remaining for further holidays. Miss Gabrielle Schaefer of Germany, a girl friend of Frank's brother Gino Russo, is spending a few days with Frank and Judy Russo. Gino was stationed for some time in Germany recently, and has now been stationed in Winnipeg. Winnipeg. Ray and Ernestine Robinson Robinson formed a part of the two bus loads of Victoria County Beef Producers who enjoyed a 2 - 3 day trip to New Liskeard area recently with many stops at farms and other points of interest en route. Ray was one of the bus drivers. The Ray Robinsons were also recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Humphries of Castleton. Master Stephen Baker of Toronto is spending a few days with his grandparents Doris and Art Rowan. Miss Mona Malcolm attended attended a birthday party for a university colleague Miss Kim Helmer at her parents' tobacco farm at Sparta, Ont.
