"Remembrance Day" was the theme of the November meeting of Tyrone United Church Women on November November 14, 1984 at Tyrone C.E. Wing. The Remembrance Wreath was the focal point as Blanche Jones and Jean Slemon conducted the worship worship service. President Jane Woodley chaired the meeting using the article "Managing Your Lifestyle" for opening thoughts. Jane Woodley and Bessie Van- eyk commented on the recent recent Oshawa Presbyterial U.C.W. meeting which was held at Ebenezer United Church. During the business business portion of the meeting donations were voted to Tyrone Church and to the Bursary Fund. U.C.W. year end reports are to be given to Jane Woodley by December December 14th. Tyrone U.C.W. Christmas meeting will be held December 12th at 12:00 noon at a pot-luck dinner. Ladies of the community are welcome, just let Doreen Doreen Park, Bessie Vaneyk or Ann Pleasance know by November 30th if you would like to attend, Tyrone ladies please bring a first course. Other coming events are the Sunday School White Gift service and Mitten Tree service service combined at 7:00 p.m. on December 2, 1984 at Tyrone Church. Help for a catering of 80 guests would be appreciated on December December 15th. Guest speaker was our own minister, Pastor Pastor Joe Lafave, who spoke on the subject of "Escatol- ogy", leaving the audience pondering the mystery of life after death. Pastor Joe was presented by Jean Slemon Slemon and thanked by Blanche Jones. Home made breads and jams enriched a social time. Grace Smith Honored When Gordon Baker stated that there is very little little happening in the Long Sault area that Grace Smith does not have a hand in he was of course correct.
