Mr. C. M. Jones was able to. return home from hospital at Oshawa on Tuesday. A congregational meeting was held at Shiloh Church on Wednesday evening and arrangements were made for the dates for their annual meetings sometime in January. Mrs. Irene Burley of Bowmanville Bowmanville spent the weekend with Mrs. Lena Clysdale. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wade of Kendal were Sunday dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Trueman Henderson. A large crowd extended happy 40th wedding congratulations congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Todd of Starkville held at the Community Hall on Sunday where a lunch was served by the Shiloh ladies in the afternoon afternoon followed by a delicious luncheon served to the relatives relatives and friends of 50 in the early evening. Sympathy is extended to the Lanigan family and friends who lost two daughters Colleen and Karen in an automobile automobile accident near Owen Sound. They live at Port Granby where Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Clysdale used to live. There were seven tables of progressive euchre held at the Community Hall on Friday evening with the following winners. High lady - Joyce Stacey, 2nd Grace Coatham, draw - Phyllis Lowery, Men's Fred Yeo, Aleck Moffat (2nd) and draw Berneice Milligan. 50 - 50 draw won by Bea Jones. Next card party January 4th, 1985. Prior to the card party an auction of bake goods was held at the Auction Barn when over $60.00 was received. Thanks to all who helped with any baking. Mrs. Hazel Stapleton and Mr. Clarence Burley of Orono were dinner guests on Wednesday with Mrs. Lena Clysdale. Everett Stapleton was able to come home from the hospital on Friday. Hopkins, a retired minister from Bowmanville presided for the services entitling his sermon "Belief in God the Father." The choir sang "Come and Worship" and "Silent Night." The second advent of the Lighting of the Candle was performed by Glen, Lynda, Jan and Ryan Farrow.
