Music for the dance was provided by D.J. Bob Linton of Peterborough area who kindly donated his services. services. As the Rec Centre had also been donated for the evening a fine profit is expected to be realized. Presently the Stewart family is living living in a trailer on their lot. On May 25 members of the Guiding Unit attending attending a Special Tea at Casa Loma. The bus will be leaving at 9:30 a.m. returning by 5:30. . Tickets are available to interested members of the community at the cost of $5.00 per adult; Pathfinders 12 and up $4.75 and Brownies up to 12 years $3.75. Blackstock Hardware will be operated by Allan, Bob, Bruce and Barb Beacock and will be a welcome addition to Blackstock. On May 1st the Blackstock W.I. met at the Hall for Dessert Lunch and a social half hour. The new president Edith McLaughlin opened opened the meeting by everyone singing the Ode and repeating the Mary: Stewart Collect in unison. The Agriculture Convenor Convenor Jean Adams introduced introduced the guest speaker Sharyn Barkey who told that on their farm everyone has a job and everyone pitches in for the extras.
