This was very special as every winner, who was the sole winner, was given a special box of food, soft drinks, turkeys, etc. It was anticipated that there might be an extra game or two. Unfortunately at Christmas time especially, there is more than one event in an evening and one has to make a choice. Your correspondent and her husband chose to attend the Christmas concert at Grandview School. It was a real eye opener to be able to attend the Christmas concert at Grandview School. The Kindergarten section was given a separate time because , of the seating capacity in the school gymnasium. There were two entirely separate groups of Kindergarten children, and each sang three or four songs. Some of the children were in costume. The non-teaching aides helped with arranging the children and getting them off the stage after 'their ■ numbers were finished. Donna Bryant helped with singing "Rudolph, The Red-Nosed Reindeer. ,r Although drama and music are parts of the curriculum, the teachers and students both went into this production in an energetic way, going beyond the usual requirements. Rev. Heather Smith's daughter, Ursula Hines, did some of the announcing, particularly about the Grade 4 Play. The co-ordination between the Grade 6 play and the choir made up of children from Grades 4 -.6 was excellent. The Principal gave a few opening remarks at the beginning of each concert and there was a bottle at the door as one entered, in which was collected donations to help defer concert expenses.
