Everyone enjoyed baseball and other activities. Hot dogs were supplied with potiuck salads and desserts. Although the air was cold, the friendship was warm. Last week's news carried a serious error regarding Mr. and Mrs. Grant Thompson's Wedding Anniversary-it was their 58th Wedding Wedding Anniversary. We always knew you two look young but it may be a little embarrassing for your family to explain. My apologies but the wish is of very sincere congratulations. Congratulations to Henry and Muriel Wotten who were guests of honour at a family party at the home of their daughter Joan and Floyd Argue on the occasion of their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday Sunday afternoon. On Saturday afternoon a. pretty wedding took place in the United Church when Diane Wheeler became the bride of Don Pierson. The reception was held at the home . of Diane's sister Connie and Ernie Swain on Greensboro Street. Diane and Don will be living in Oahawa. Judd Mountjoy of Richmond, B.C. spent a week with her parents Ernie Ernie and Connie Swain and attended her aunt's wedding. While in Ontario she visited other relatives and friends. Another lovely wedding took place on Saturday afternoon when Wanda Brdwn and Brian Craig were married married in the Anglican Church. Their reception and dance took place in the Recreation Centre with Tripp- Toms catering. Best wiabee are extended extended to both of these happy couples. Better health is wished for Bill Mahaffy who underwent serious surgery in Oahawa Hospital. Also In Oshawa Hospital is Mr. E.R. Trewin who was transferred from Port Perry Hospital. In Port Perry Hospital are Mrs. Elva Toms and Mr. Bob Holliday. Get well wishes are sent to all these patients. The Hoekin family annual picnic was also held on Sunday afternoon at the Enniskillen Conservation Area. Various activities along with visiting followed by a bountiful supper supper made for a fine event. Next Sunday, September 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the students of the Cartwright High School will be bolding a car wash at the school. This will be a great opportunity to wash up the family vehicles and support our local school at the same time at reasonable rates of $34 depending on car or van. On Tuesday evenings the Y.M.C.A. will be having Floor Hockey- at the Cartwright Public School from Sept. 23 to April 7.
