Mr. and Mrs. Alan (Jean) Myles, Colborne, called on Mr. and Mrs. Jack Potts, Friday morning before heading for Moose Jaw, Sask. to attend an Army Reunion. Jack and Gladys Potts and Art and June Trewin went to Orono Fair on Saturday. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Lars Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. Art Trewin took Mr. and Mrs. J. Potts out for a belated Wedding Anniversary dinner at Oshawa. - So, although it's late congratulations to Jack and Gladys and also it was Dorie's birthday. So we hope you had a Happy Birthday too. Recently Mr. and Mrs. Roy Paterson, Mr. Doug Paterson and Miss Madelina Mata of Bowmanville took a boat cruise among the Thousand Islands - which was great except except for the weather and then drove to Ottawa to watch the Changing of the Guard. - Grand sight if old weatherman had just co-operated. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Paterson . of Oshawa were Friday evening callers with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Paterson. Roy and Ann Paterson accompanied accompanied Bob and Marg Simpson, Oshawa, on Saturday Saturday evening for dinner. Mr. Alfred Millson accompanied accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Barbara) Millson, Newcastle, to Ottawa on Wednesday Wednesday to visit with his daughter Mary Lou and children children and call on his son-in-law Gordon Wolfe in Ottawa Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jones and girls, Welland, were Friday evening visitors with Mr. and Mrs. J. Jones and Sandy, before before driving to Pigeon Lake to their trailer. Mr. John Jones and Peter,.. Oshawa were Sunday lunch,,, guests with his parents, Jack and Blanche Jones and Sandy. Sorry to hear Peter had the misfortune to fall Sunday evening and cracked his left wrist and hand. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Millson attended the soccer tournament tournament at Waverley School, Bowmanville, to watch their son Adam play on the Tyrone team - although they lost, it's a good experience for the youngsters and there is always always next year to look forward forward to. Miss Jennie Millson, Bowmanville, was a Saturday overnight guest with the S. Millsons. Mr. and Mrs. Blair Vaneyk and Emily visited with Cindy and Steve Millson and boys Saturday evening. Mr. Nick and Miss Brandee Kennedy accompanied Uncle Guy Kennedy and Miss Jane Kinlin of Oshawa on Saturday to the marvellous Canada Wonderland. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Kennedy enjoyed themselves at Orono Fair on Saturday and later on Mr. and Mrs. Bob McCormick and Jessica, Newcastle, called in for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Miller, Sunderland, surprised Mr. and Mrs. Brent Cochrane and girls on Friday with a visit and after a fine supper were overnight overnight guests. Mr. and Mrs. David Atkinson, Atkinson, Oakville, were weekend guests with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lars Christensen. Mr. Barry Garrard had two horses racing at the Orono Fair. - One had a little trouble which created more trouble but no one was hurt - and the horse isn't hurt too badly and the other one - Won. After the Fair Mr. and Mrs. Alt Garrard were supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Brock of Bowmanville. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Blackburn Blackburn attended the Open House at Trinity United Church Hall for the 80th birthday celebration celebration for Mrs. Hilda Cowell on Sunday afternoon. Mrs,.Norma Blackburn had a birthday party supper for husband Doug and had Ills sisters and brother nnd mother and father over on Sunday evening - Congratulations Congratulations Doug - wishes arc for many more. Mrs. Cccllc Bcrlrlm, Mr. Gus Santos and Master Ricki Adams spent Saturday afternoon afternoon at Stouffville. Three friends of Gus Santos from Oakville were lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Bertrlm and Gus returned home with them after spending the weekend with the Bertrlms, Other Sunday lunch guests with John and Cccllc Bertrlm were Mrs, Jean Urwln and children Jennifer ami David.
