Malcolm, Malcolm, more frequently referred referred to as 'Mally', was a one-of-a-kind individual impossible impossible to clone; he possessed a keen sense of humor and a vocabulary with a power of description not to be found in the ordinary English dictionary. dictionary. He will be remembered by a wide range of friends throughout the width and breadth of Ontario. Congratulations are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lynch (nee Wilma VanDeValk) who were married in St. Mary's Catholic church in Lindsay on Saturday. Father Tom Lynch cousin of the groom officiated at the ceremony. It was our first opportunity to hear Tom in action and we were greatly impressed with his ability not only as an orator but with his rapport with the congregation. Mr. Bob Carrol provided three fine solos - 'To,day','Sons of Lockhart Gossip Hello again, loyal readers. I'm back and hold on to your hats because I see the makings of a sensational year for Lockhart Gossip. We have a great past to live up to but I say we try and top last year. Let's give it a shot, shall we? Again you can expect news, sports, and all other Lockhart information, as well as insights insights on current events, vacations, special holidays and, of course, I'll be here at least once to bring you up to date on the W.W.F. and their travels. What's happening at Lockhart? Lockhart? Well, here's a little piece I jotted down on the way to school that might help answer that question. On behalf of the staff and students of Lockhart School I'd like to welcome all of our new Grade One students and our two new Grade two students, Kevin Jones and Andrea Hoorweg. Mr. Witheridge has begun to organize the Terry Fox Run. C'mon sponsors don't give up on us now. Help make the Terry Fox Run as successful as it has been in the past. Well, that wraps up a not exactly smashing debut here at Lockhart. But, we still have much to look forward to. God,' and 'Ave Maria.' Following the wedding ceremony, the wedding dinner and dance were held in the armouries with Mr. Bill Ford the capable M.C. and toastmaster toastmaster for the speech making. Friends of Mr. Earl Endi- cott of Lindsay will be glad to hear he has returned home from hospital following an operation for acute appende- citis and is convolescing satisfactorily. Mr. Terry Malcolm hosted a number of his friends this past weekend on the occasion of his birthday. It was our pleasure this week to accompany the C.E.O. of United Co-op of Ontario, Mr. George May, and vice- president of Member Sales, Mr. Lome Reid, on a tour of co-op facilities in Zone 4, the area we represent on the U.C.O. Board. We also visited with members of the local boards and management to get their local input into cooperative cooperative policies and presented presented them with a current update of their provincial organization's position. Those facilities visited included Brockville, Ganaoque, Kingston, Kingston, Napanee, Picton, Fox- boro, Madoc Campbellford and Grafton. It was indeed gratifying to see the positive outlook of our managers and local directors for the future despite one of the gloomiest economic outlook for the future in agriculture. A number from our community attended the annual dance put on by the Wilson Staples, Archer Cartage Cartage combo at the Ops Community Centre on Saturday Saturday evening. A capacity crowd was present to hear Southern Comfort who provided provided the music on the occasion. occasion.
