Mrs. Mary Jones and Miaa Berneice Milligan attended the bazaar held at Parkview Apartments, Newcastle on Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Wood were guests at the Tapscott - Benson wedding at Bethesda United Church, Dale Rd. with reception at the Legion HaU, Port Hope on Saturday. Mr. Martyn Brown was an usher and Tobin was a bridesmaid for her brother's wedding. Over thirty passengers enjoyed enjoyed the bus trip to Cambridge outlets on Saturday. Saturday. They visited the Mill outlet where towels and other kitchen accessories were for sale, Cambridge shoe store, Andrew McNiece shoes and nao mncn at the Knotty Pine Restaurant. In the afternoon they visited the B and R Textiles/ Lens Mill Outlet before leaving for home - sponsored by the U.C.W. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Render- son of Port Hope visited Monday Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Henderson. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Mc- Ewen of Petorboro visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Vinkle. Mrs. Mary Jones is celebrating celebrating her birthday on Monday, Monday, October 6th at her home. Congratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Trueman Henderson attended the Fifth Regional Dinner Friday evening evening at the Heydenshore Pavilion, Pavilion, Whitby, honoring the retired retired and 25 years service employees of Durham Region. They had lunch at Port Carling and a 2 and a half hour boat trip in the afternoon. They had their dinner at the Bonfire Restaurant Restaurant at Lindsay. Sorry to hear that Mrs. Doreen Lake is a patient in Memorial Hospital, Bowmanville. Bowmanville. Mrs. Cecil Stapleton was moved to Oshawa hospital on Saturday afternoon and was operated on Sunday evening placing a pin in her hip. Mr. Marvin Stapleton had his ears attended to on Thursday. Mrs. Acy Farrow and Margaret Elliott attended the Cancer Society meeting in Bowmanville at St. Paul's United Church on Tuesday evening. Misses Jan Farrow, Tara and Tricia Stapleton attended a day long coaching clinic in Orono. Congratulations . to these girls in obtaining their certificate for coaching beginners beginners for skating. Mrs. Wm. Milligan and Berneice and Jean Hall attended the 1st birthday party for Mr. Joshua Bowman on Thursday at Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bowman's at Welcome. Welcome. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bennett of Belleville were dinner guests on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Maurice O'Neill. Mrs. John CIoss and Michael Michael of Markham were luncheon luncheon guests on Friday with Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Farrow. Mr. and Mrs. Trueman Henderson were dinner guests on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wade, Michael and Kevin of Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Edison Mitchell Mitchell of Cobourg visited with Mrs. Wm. Milligan and Berneice. Berneice. His parents lived in the 1920-1929 with the Milligan's before moving to Lindsay. He was one of the teachers who taught at Newtonville. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Henderson Henderson were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Henderson and family of Bowmanville on Sunday. Mr. Wallace Boughen, Mrs. Acy Farrow and Mrs. C. M. Jones attended the anniversary anniversary services at Shiloh on Sunday afternoon. The Farrows Farrows and the Jones had dinner in Bowmanville and in the evening visited Mr. Sid Lancaster Lancaster at the Nursing Home in Newcastle. Following the service, world wide communion communion was served by the Elders. After church, coffee, drinks and cookies were served in the Sunday School to a large crowd. Senior Youth Group to meet on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for pizza and movie night. Come and decorate the church for Thank*glvlng on Saturday ihornlng at 10:30 followed by lunch. Special envelopes were given out for the Mission and Service Fund and a food bank Is also needed - to be brought to the church on Sunday and will then be taken to Port Hope on Wednesday,
