The team has worked hard during practices and seem determined to play their best. Greg and Eric will try to pass along fundamentals and hope their charges pick up at least 75 percent of what they are taught. The coaches and players know its nice to win but the philosophy of the coaches is to play well and use the skills they have worked on during practices. Greg and Eric want their team to have fun - win as a team - lose as a team. The first game of the season was against the Agincourt Canadians. Adam Cota opened the scoring but the Canadians soon came back to defeat us 8-1. The second game was filled with action as the majors defeated defeated North Oshawa 13-0. Our team played very well defensively defensively and the passing was terrific. Goals were scored by Adam Cota (5), Darrell Sewell (2), Carlo Warr (3), Jason Wichman (2), Andrew Perkins (1). Assists went to Adam Cota (5), Darrell Sewell (5), Joey Bate (2), Scott Anderson (1), Kevin Colbourne (1), and Tim Mills (1). On Saturday, November 1, the selects played Ajax at Newcastle Arena.
