St. Marys Cement Toros Defeat Omemee Team Bowmanville's St. -Marys Cement Thros defeated Omemee by'an 8 : 1 score in a game played at the Darlington Sports Centre, Oct. 29th. Bowmanville jumped into an early 1-0 lead when Rob Davidson scored at 13:45 of the first period with assists going to Eric. Janssens and David Morrison. Terry Kellett gave the Toros a 2-0 lead when he finished off a play started by Mike Houston Houston and Mark Matheson while enjoying a man advantage at the 9:08 mark of the period. The Toros made it 3-0 with John Edmondson finding the mark at 7:55. Chris Hall and Mike Houston assisted. Brad Carnegie gave the Toros a 4-0 lead, while still in the first period, with a goal at 2:06, assisted by Jeff Laird and Kevin Flintoff. The goal was Carnegie's second of the night. In the third, Bowmanville netted their seventh goal when John Edmondson got his second goal of the game assisted by Mike Kane and Rob Davidson. Omemee spoiled Toro goal- tender Darrin Bunker's bid for a shutout at 4:18 when Omemee's Dave Vanbeek scored to make the score 7-1. Jeff Laird combined with Chris Hall and Mike Houston to score while enjoying a man advantage when Omemee was given a double minor for roughing. Laird's goal came at the 2:41 mark of the third to give the Toros an 8-1 lead. The Toro win was their third straight in regular season play and they'll be trying to keep the streak going when they face-off against Bewdley tonight at 9, at the Darlington Sports Centre. Bill Van- doleweerd scored for the police to narrow the count to one with help from Rod MacDonald and Rick Harker in the third period.
