Nestleton Women's Institute Christmas Meetiiig On Thursday, December 4, the Nestleton Branch gathered at 12:30 p.m. in the Nestleton Community Centre for the annual Christmas Pot -Luck luncheon. After the singing of the W.I. Grace...the members enjoyed enjoyed the bountiful meal. President Mrs. Neta Fish welcomed the members - reading a poem "On Christmas Eve" and opened the meeting with the Ode and Collect. The minutes were read by the Assistant Secretary...due to absence of the Secretary Mrs. G. Malcolm. Mrs. Rika Wygerde presented the financial statement. The Christmas gift to the Sister Branch in England has been sent with a letter from the President - a new F.W.I.O. tea towel which she had donated. Stamped Christmas cards were received by Mrs. Bertha McLaughlin who wiU send those to Institute friends. The roll call was answered with a Christmas poem and Pennies for Friendship and collection taken. A Memorial Service for a former member Mrs. Norman (Doris) Rohrer was conducted by the President, President, concluding by the singing of "Abide With Me." Meeting Attended Mrs. Louella Lewis of Mount Albert, Provincial Board Director ol Subdivision No. 8, of the Women's Institutes of Ontario, held a day long meeting in Stouffville this past Monday Monday to pass along information re - the Provincial Board activities. Much knowledge was gained by the officers attending this informative day to bring back to the Branches. The four York Districts and Ontario South had their officers present to learn about the many changes in W.I. work in the future.
