Close'the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and the Christmas evening bring us to our, beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiving, for Jesus sake. Specialist [; r As the : holiday season approaches, and extr# : entertaining and shopping are added to our daily lifestyles, convenience becomes important to the family cook. During the winter months, Ontario froz en vegetables not only offer variety, speed and easy storage, but can also stretch the nutritional dollar further than imported fresh vegetables. Fresh vegetables are nutritionally superior if used shortly after harvest. In summer, locally grown produce reaches the market in 1 to 3 days versus 4-13 days for imported produce. Since froz en vegetables afre harvested and froz en within 3 hours, it is easy to see how their nutrition is easily preserved for the consumer. Also a package of plain froz en vegetables has no additives. For maximum taste and nutrition, store frozen vegetables at O degrees F (-18 degrees C). Close packages tightly if only a portion is used and cook with a minimum amount of water, and for as short a time as possible. Happy eating! I would like to close this column with a Christmas Bénédiction used by Rev. Heather Smith in her Christmas Newsletter: "May the joy of Christ fill your days with gladness, May the peace of Christ take away your anxious cares, May the light of Christ shine through your deepest darkness, And may the love of Him who was born at Christmas, go with you and direct you always". o > f A cheery Christmas greeting to all our relatives, friends and good neighbors.
