Newcastle. Janie is the youngest daughter of Colin and Raye Davies, Newcastle, and Kevin is the eldest son of Mary Stella Desmoulin, Satlt Ste. Marie, and Gordon Gordon Desmoulin, Sarnia. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a traditional gown of satin and lace with lace appliques accenting the cathedral train. The bodice was highlighted by pearl beads and lace appliques, with leg of mutton, lace sleeves, a satin back bow and front bustle. A pearl bead and flowered flowered headpiece held a fingertip veil she carried an elegant all-white cascade of gladiolas, carnations, ivy and asparagus fern. The maid of honour was Eydie Davies, Newcastle, and the bridesmaid was Julie Davies, Oshawa. Both wore tea length gowns of pink lace and carried a cascade cascade of cymbidium orchids, white freesias and ivy. The best man was Chris Desmoulin and the usher was Eric Welton, both of Toronto. Leaving for a honeymoon at Cancun, Mexico, the bride wore a three quarter length ivory skirt and jacket and a emerald green blouse. Mr. and Mrs. Button are now residing in Oshawa.
